Hyderabad-Bengaluru Route Among the Nine New Vande Bharat Trains, Promises Faster and More Comfortable Journey, know more about fare and details here.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged nine new Vande Bharat Express trains on Sunday. These trains feature a host of upgrades based on passenger feedback.

The seat reclination angle has been increased from 17.31 degrees to 19.37 degrees, offering a more relaxed posture for passengers. The hardness of the cushion has been optimised, and the colour of the seats in the executive class coach has been changed from red to a more pleasant blue.

“Improvements in the trains speak of the government’s focus on multi-modal connectivity and ease of travel,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Hyderabad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is expected to cover a distance of 610 kilometres in around seven hours. The train will operate six days a week, with a stop only on Wednesdays for maintenance. It will leave Hyderabad’s Kacheguda station at 5:30 a.m. and reach Bengaluru’s Yesvantpur station by 2:45 p.m.

The train offers two classes: the chair car and the executive class. For those heading from Yesvantpur to Kacheguda, the chair car seat will set you back by Rs 1,540. The executive class is priced at Rs 2,865 if you want more comfort. However, the fares take a slight but noticeable hike if you travel in the opposite direction—from Kacheguda to Yesvantpur. The chair car costs Rs 1,600, while the executive class is priced at Rs 2,915. The train will have eight coaches—two driving trailer coaches, two trailer coaches and four motor coaches.

Now, there are more accessible mobile charging points under the seats, extended footrests, and magazine bags for executive class coach-end seats. The wash basins in the lavatories have been deepened to prevent water splashing, and the lighting has been improved from the previous 1.5 watts to 2.5 watts.

For safety and accessibility, these trains feature an improved aerosol-based fire detection and suppression system. Unique securing points for wheelchairs have been provided in driving trailer coaches to accommodate Divyangjan passengers—those with disabilities.

Over the next two months, nine more orange-coloured Vande Bharat Express trains will be rolled out, further expanding the network.

The Vande Bharat Express, train number 20703 from Hyderabad to Bangalore, operates between Kacheguda station and Bengaluru’s Yesvantpur station. It departs from Kacheguda at 5:30 a.m. and arrives in Yesvantpur at 2:00 p.m. Conversely, under train number 20704, its return journey starts from Yesvantpur at 2:45 p.m. and concludes at Kacheguda by 11:15 p.m. The train stops at Mahbubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur, and Dharmavaram during its journey.

Telangana Governor & Puducherry Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan told ANI, “When I met the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Hyderabad, I told him that South Tamil Nadu people are struggling for transportation without trains and buses and fewer flights. So I asked him for Vande Bharat and the superfast trains for South Tamil Nadu. He replied positively. I am very happy South Tamil Nadu is getting the Vande Bharat train today.”
